California Junior Scholarship Federation


The purpose of CJSF is to foster high standards of scholarship, service and citizenship on the part of California students.




In order to participate in CJSF the below guidelines must be met:

  • You must have a minimum of 8 points in four academic classes for each trimester you are submitting for application. Points are calculated by A=3; B=1; C=0.

  • No D’s or F’s in any core classes (ELA, Social Studies, Math and Science).

  • No N’s or U’s in citizenship.

Membership Donation:

  • Member cost is $3.00 for each trimester you participate.


  • Completed applications must be submitted with an official report card and the $3.00 membership donation.To access the application – click here.


  • Students who join for a minimum of two trimesters in 7th grade and two trimesters in 8th grade (Fall and Winter) will receive special recognition at promotion.

  • 8th graders:
    • For this trimester only, 8th grade students will be able to join retroactively for any qualified 7th grade trimester. If you choose to do this, you will need to pay the $3.00 membership fee per trimester.


All Applications are Due by December 14th at 3:45pm.  As this is a state program, we will not be able to accept any late applications.
