Stop Stamp Behavior System

Mrs. Overholt’s Math/Science Class

The STOP Stamp Behavior System is designed to keep students on task during class time, as well as hold the students accountable for their behavior.  Students that make it the entire trimester without STOP Stamp will be given a special treat. For those students that make it the entire year will receive a special in class party at the end of the school year.  The system will be most successful if you check your child’s Pride Planner DAILY! If a student receives a stamp I encourage you to speak with them about the specific issue and create a way to help them avoid getting another stamp in the future. 

Students will be given a STOP Stamp in their Pride Planner for the following reasons:

  • Tardy

  • Gum

  • No Materials

  • Missing Assignment

  • Off  Task

  • Being Disrespectful

  • Excessive Talking

  • Disrupting Others

  • Not Following Directions

  • Phone Going Off in Class

  • Not Using Technology Appropriately in Class

Students may also be given positive rewards for:

  • Putting materials away without being asked

  • Being Polite to Others and the Teacher

  • No Missing Homework  All Week

  • Participation

Consequences (per day)

  1. Warning/Stop Stamp

  2. Lunch Detention

  3. Phone call home

  4. (Referral to the office)- Student will be sent to the office to discuss his/her behavior and responsibilities in the classroom. Student will also be responsible for all missed word during class.

STUDENTS RECEIVING NO STAMPS WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR  A CLASSROOM PARTY AT THE END OF THE YEAR!!!!!
